Anita Pointer is the power house behind the legendary career of The Pointer Sisters, an American R&B singing group from Oakland, California who achieved mainstream success during the 1970s and 1980s.  Spanning over five decades, their repertoire has included such diverse genres as pop, disco, jazz, electronic music, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance, country and rock.

Anita Pointer of The Pointer Sisters has won 3 Grammy Awards, 3 AMA Awards, 1 NAACP Award and was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame. In addition the sisters were inducted into the Soul Train Hall of Fame and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994. To date they have 6 gold albums and 6 platinum albums, and have been gifted with many keys to many cities across America.

In 2018 they received an Icon Award celebrating the groups 13 US top 20 hits between 1973 - 1985.

Currently, Anita Pointer and her brother, Fritz have written a book titled "Fairytale" an autobiography about the life and times of The Pointer Sisters during their 50 year career in the music industry.

"Ever After" is a catalog written by Anita Pointer and Melissa Simpson which chronicles over 5 decades of iconic fashion, stage costumes, wardrobe designs, and memorabilia created by the sensational career of The Pointer Sisters.

In this catalogue we get to see the original vintage dresses the Pointer Sisters wore on stage along with custom designed pieces created by top industry designers.

For the first time in decades this impressive volume of collectibles has been curated for exhibit purposes for national museums as a cultural epilogue with a documentary targeted for future audiences.

In addition, Anita Pointer has a new album out titled “Take Me Away”- a compilation of her unreleased original songs she has written and recorded throughout her impressive career, as well as favored songs she has covered by other popular artist.

Last, but not least, we feature "Special Things"- a Black Americana Memorabilia collection of over 1000 items curated for public display.

This site is a journey through the astonishing body of work Anita Pointer has accomplished in her life time, the legacy of a real Fairytale.
