Anita Pointer has a new album titled “Take Me Away”- a compilation of her unreleased original songs she has written and recorded throughout her impressive career, as well as favored songs she has covered by other popular artist.

To date Anita Pointer of The Pointer Sisters has won 3 Grammy Awards, 3 AMA Awards, 1 NAACP Award and was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame. In addition the sisters were inducted into the Soul Train Hall of Fame and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994.

 

They have 6 gold albums and 6 platinum albums, and have been gifted with many keys to many cities across America.

 

In 2018 The Pointer Sisters received an Icon Award celebrating the groups 13 US top 20 hits between 1973 - 1985, accepting the award was Anita & Bonnie Pointer on Oscar night.
